UPDATE: Lost tooth
The next morning, Brendan was happy to have the money, but he wasn't nearly as excited as the day before. Finally, the question came: "Why did the Tooth Fairy only give me one dollar?"
Most days, one dollar would have been plenty. But on the way home from school Friday, our neighbor Whitney, who is 8, explained how she also lost a tooth in math class on Thursday. The Tooth Fairy brought her $4!
I quickly explained that the Tooth Fairy pays more for larger teeth, and that when he's 8, I'm sure he'll be so lucky.

Lost tooth
"It landed right on my paper," Brendan says. "It was very cool and I
like it."
Brendan's plana are "to put it under my pillow for the Tooth Fairy to
come and take it and give me some money."
He also plans to show Daddy and share the news with his cousins.
Divided loyalties
in Norman. The last time TCU visited Norman, the Frogs walked away
with a victory in hand.
I can't say I am expecting the same tomorrow. After all, Oklahoma is
ranked #2. But we know what happened to USC last night.
No matter, I am just hoping for a good game and good showing.
(PS--No TV up in these here parts.)

Firefox and Blogger
(For those of you who only use Internet Explorer, Firefox is an excellent web browser that you can download for free. It's cool and safe but there are some bugs, I assume because most sites are tested most heavily on IE.)
How, you ask, was I able to post my most recent photos of the kiddos? I finally learned (or had time to research) how to post from my iPhone. Just add yet another reason why I think the iPhone is so cool. (Yes, you can do this from other phones, but not from my old phone.) I can take a decent photo with it, then with a click of a button, insert it into an email and post directly to Blogger. No logon required.

Three things
2. The "Frogger" episode of Seinfeld is on. A great classic.
3. I'm so excited about fall TV starting. I have no idea when I'll
have time to watch, but I'll work it out!

On the sidelines
hubby can't attend. I spend my time glancing at the field while trying
to keep tabs on Ryan, who does a good job staying nearby, and Kelsey,
who's definitely a little explorer these days.
Tonight the three sat on the sidelines together for a brief moment, a
rare occurrence!

Driving home
Columbus. As we were leaving Lewis Center, north of the city, an
already windy day picked up even more. We saw several emergency
vehicles and downed trees and power lines.
Now we're in Michigan driving through some heavy rain. The trip,
though, was great. We saw a group of Ken's childhood friends last
night. The kids ran wild while the adults watched (rather intensely)
the Ohio State-USC game.
Then this afternoon we joined the Sweeneys for their twins' first
birthday party. Erin was quite proud of taking her first few steps,
and Justin was adorable with his curls and serious little man look.
We're all exhausted and are looking forward to crashing at home and
starting another busy week.
