My parents have officially welcomed me into the iPod world. For Christmas, they gave me a 30 gig, black iPod. I love it. I haven't had much free time to download CDs or fill it with the latest from iTunes, but I had some songs and playlists on my computer. (I was already using iTunes to buy songs here and there.)Mostly I use it when I'm on the treadmill or listen while I read a book. Soon, I'll be learning how to play it through my auxiliary hookup in the Pilot. My dad loaned me his book, "The iPod Book: Doing Cool Stuff with the iPod and the iTunes Store," which is so easy to read and has great tidbits of information.
My dad is the resident iPod nut in our family. He got one a year or two ago and is never seen without it. Well, he may not take it to business meetings. But everywhere else. Just ask my mom.

You didn't own an iPod before now?! I'm totally flabbergasted by that. I should revoke your technology geek card for that.
As much as you like to run and work out, you should buy an iPod Shuffle, too. I just bought one (I've already owned a regular iPod for a few years) and love it. It's so tiny and cute!
The only major drawback is that it doesn't have a screen so you can see what song is playing, but it's really not as big of a deal as I thought it would be.
I know! I'm a little shocked I didn't have one before, either. We do not own many toys at our house, unless they appeal to a 1- and 4-year-old. Besides, I'm still trying to figure out how I'll ever find time to get my favorite music on this thing. Tons of CDs to download; not enough time!
